The South Beach pied-à-terre synthesizes Miami’s architectural memory into a contemporary language. Inspired by the city’s key design eras, the apartment draws on a range of influences, from the Mediterranean Revival romance of early Miami Beach, when the young resort city cultivated its image as an “American Riviera“, to the bold geometry of its 1920s–30s Art Deco and Streamline Moderne architecture, and the playful extravagance of Mid-Century Miami Modernism (MiMo). Rather than recreating these eras literally, the apartment distills them into a restrained language of resort domesticity: warm wood, stone, graphic contrasts, sculptural lighting, and carefully placed moments of color.
